Mr. Ward is the Managing Partner of Building Bridges Capital Partners (BBCP) Company. In addition, Mr. Ward is a participant / consultant in pursuit of acquiring and building Minority Business Enterprises (MBE’s).

Mr. Ward, currently, is a member of the Board of Directors for: Beijing Economic Development Council, Ruixin Environmental Specialty Equipment Manufacturing Sino American Joint Venture, Yurban Ventures, LLC and Legacy Acquisition Corp.

Previous Positions and Accomplishments:

Mr. Ward has served as Chief Executive Officer and Secretary General of the United States Olympic Committee, Chairman and CEO of Maytag Corporation, President of Frito-Lay and Vice President of Operations of Pepsi Cola Bottling.

Mr. Ward’s Procter & Gamble experiences include: Category General Manager – BS&HCP; Division Manager Manufacturing; Plant Manager, Ivorydale Soap Plant; Associate Director R&D - BS&HCP; Engineering Section Head – Paper Division.
Mr. Ward served as a member of the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation, JP Morgan Chase Co. and Central and Southwest Utilities Corporation.

He has also served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations including the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, Ronald McDonald House, Dallas YMCA, Paul Quinn College, Jimmy Johnson Foundation, and Inroads of Southwest Ohio.

Mr. Ward’s leadership has been publicly recognized by several honors and achievements, including being named Black Enterprise Magazine's "Executive of the Year", one of Business Week Magazine's "Top 25 Executives", and BrandWeek Magazine's "Marketer of the Year". Mr. Ward was embraced by Business Week Magazine as its cover story in 1999 and had his life story was included in the Good Morning America Millennium"Y2K" Time Capsule. He, also, received the "Outstanding Leadership Award" from the Center for Creative Leadership, the Jack Breslin "Lifetime Achievement Award" and the MSU "Alumni of the Year Award".

Mr. Ward's graduated from Michigan State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career that same year with Procter & Gamble in the engineering department. Over seventeen (17) years he progressed by experiencing a very unique multi-functional career path in engineering, manufacturing, product development, sales and brand management. After 15 years he became Vice President & Category General Manager of the Dishcare Business with P&L responsibility for $700 million in annual sales.

Following Procter & Gamble, Mr. Ward became VP of Operation for Pepsi Cola with responsibility for the Company Owner Bottling product supply system. After 3 years in this position, Mr. Ward was promoted to President of Frito Lay's Western Division with $900 million in annual sales. After 18 months he was promoted to President of Frito Lays Central Division with over $1.5 billion in annual sales.

Following Frito Lay, Mr. Ward became President of Maytag Appliances. After three years in position, Mr. Ward was appointed Chairman & CEO of Maytag Corporation. Mr. Ward served Maytag from 1996 to early 2001.

Following Maytag, Mr. Ward was appointed CEO of the United States Olympic Committee. This occurred in October of 2001, one month after 9/11/2001. The world changed on 9/11, the Olympics was under pressure to cancel the Games due to the threat of terrorism and Mr. Ward took the helm. The 2002 Winter Olympic Games were held with no disruption and the best performance of the USA team in Winter Olympic History up to that point in time (34 medals).

Following the Olympics, Mr. Ward has pursued entrepreneurial interests.
